Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification

  • Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): The candidate should pass 12th standard from a recognized board. Also, typing speed on computer (35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi) is mandatory.
  • Junior stenographer: Proficiency (80 words per minute in English) is required in stenography along with passing 12th grade.

Age limit

  • Candidates should be between 18 and 27 years of age (for JSA) and 18 to 30 years (for junior stenographer).
  • According to government rules, age relaxation will be given to reserved classes.

Pay scale

  • Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): ₹ 19,900 – ₹ 63,200 (Level 2, 7th Pay Commission)
  • Junior stenographer: ₹ 25,500 – ₹ 81,100 (Level 4, 7th Pay Commission)

Apart from this, selected candidates will also get other allowances such as dearness allowance (DA), house rent allowance and medical facilities.
