Bhopal, 9 October 2025: The passion of youth in search of government jobs has again been seen. Nearly 10 lakh candidates have applied for only 7500 posts of police constable in Madhya Pradesh.
Amazingly, these include 42 PhD holders, over 12,000 engineers, postgraduates, graduates and diploma holders.
Despite the minimum qualification being 10th pass, the huge number of highly qualified candidates has made the recruitment process unprecedented.
According to Madhya Pradesh Staff Selection Board (MPESB), this recruitment highlights the problem of unemployment in government jobs. Each selected constable will get a monthly salary ranging from Rs 19,500 to Rs 62,000, depending on promotion and service period. This attractive package has attracted the youth.
Application Process Update
Online applications started from September 15, which were originally scheduled to run till September 29. But due to huge applications, the last date was extended to October 6. Now all the forms have been submitted, and candidates should focus on preparing for the exam.
Selection Process: From Written Exam to PET
- written examination: Will start from 30 October 2025. This will be a Computer Based Test (CBT), which will be conducted in 11 districts of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Khandwa, Neemuch, Rewa, Ratlam, Sagar, Satna, Sidhi and Ujjain.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): After the written examination will be conducted by Madhya Pradesh Police.
- final selection: If everything goes on time, 7500 new constables will be inducted by May-June 2026.
MPESB officials say that special preparations are being made to handle applications on such a large scale. This recruitment is a golden opportunity not only for the local youth but also for the unemployed engineers and highly educated candidates from the entire state.
