No.03/2020 ADVT. Enrollment for Designated Trades Apprenticeship Training for the year (2020-21 Batch). In compliance with the 1992 Apprenticeship Rules, Uranium Corporation of India Limited [UCIL], Jaduguda invites applications from Ex-ITI [NCVT] candidates for commercial apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act-1961. A total of 244 vacancies [Two Hundred Forty-Four] according to the distribution of vacancy information given below:
SC/ST, EWS and OBC [NCL]: Vacancies are reserved for SC/ST, EWS & OBC [NCL] applicants pursuant to Section 3A(1) & (2) and Section 3B(1) & (2) of Chapter II of the Apprentices Act-1961, as referred to in Schedule II-A of Rule 5 of the 1992 Apprenticeship Rules.
- In accordance with Section 3.6.2 of Chapter III of the Apprenticeship Training Manual, 3 percent of vacancies for apprenticeship training are reserved for physically disabled people.
- Condition of Eligibility: a) Qualifying: Matric/Std. X with at least 50 percent [aggregate] marks for UR/OBC [NCL]/EWS candidates and 45 percent [aggregate] marks for SC/ST candidates & ITI Examination with 60 percent aggregate marks qualified from NCVT [National Vocational Training Council] in relevant trade.
- Previous Training: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing Apprenticeship training under Apprentice Act, 1961 in any Govt./Public Sector/Private Industrial organization are NOT eligible to apply for the current enrolment
Previous Training: Candidates who have already obtained or are currently receiving apprenticeship training in any Govt./Public Sector/Private Industrial Organization under the Apprentice Act, 1961 are NOT eligible to apply for the new registration.
- Payment of the apprenticeship scholarship: conformity with the minimum stipend rate per month payable to apprentices [Rule 11 of the 1992 Apprenticeship Rules is applicable].
- Accommodation: In the apprenticeship phase, chosen applicants would have to make their own accommodation arrangements.
- Employment: It is NOT mandatory for UCIL to hire apprentices upon completion of training, as per the Apprentices Act, 1961. Upon completion of apprenticeship training, there are no provisions for providing direct jobs at UCIL.

c) Preference shall be given to candidates belonging to Land Displaced Category/ Project affected area [as per R&R Policy] and Employees [who are working in any unit of UCIL] Wards.
d) Candidates holding ITI certificate can only apply. Those candidates awaiting their certificates are NOT eligible to apply for the apprentice training course above.
