Its preparation was done on a large scale by the Rural Development Department, under which awareness campaigns were conducted in the districts and women were made aware of the application process.
Under this scheme, the amount has started directly deposited in the bank accounts of beneficiary women from 26 September 2025. Under the first installment, about 75 lakh Jeevika Didis were given a assistance of ₹ 10,000 through DIRECT Benefit Transfer. The government has clarified that the beneficiaries who have not received the first installment will be made available in a phased manner on the coming dates, so that no eligible women are deprived of the benefits of the scheme.
In addition, livelihood personnel across the state have been instructed through video conferencing that they should reach all the information related to the scheme to each living sister and make sure that no woman has any kind of problem in getting money.
Start of Chief Minister Mahila Employment Scheme and distribution of first installment
On 26 September 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Mukhyamantri Mahila Employment Scheme through video conferencing. On this occasion, an amount of ₹ 10,000- ₹ 10,000 was sent directly to the bank accounts of about 75 lakh Jeevika Didis via Direct Benefit Transfer.
Overall, this amount was around Rs 7,500 crore. The first phase of the plan included only those women who were already connected to livelihood groups and fulfilled eligibility criteria.
When will I get the amount of Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana?
Bihar Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar has informed that under this scheme, the assistance amount will be sent to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries in a total of 14 stages. Different programs of dates have been decided for this.
In the first phase, an amount of ₹ 10,000 has been provided to about 75 lakh women through DBT. Now this amount will be sent to the account of the remaining beneficiaries on the following dates.
- October 3, October 10, 17 October, 24 October
- 1 November, 8 November, 15 November, 22 November, 29 November
- December 12, 15 December, 26 December
Thus, by December 2025, the amount of the scheme will reach the bank accounts of all eligible women.
