Jabalpur, 26 June 2025:In Madhya Pradesh High Court, the hearing on the petitions of the candidates with the results of the OBC and General Category in the Forest Guard and Jail Guard Recruitment Examination has been postponed once again.
What happened?
- During a hearing, the Advocate General Office objected to the hearing in the High Court on a petition (WP/20051/2025).
- He cited the Supreme Court’s order of 21 March 2025 (Civil Petition (S). 345/2025).
- The High Court accepted this objection and adjourned the hearing till 22 September 2025.

- Senior advocate Rameshwar Singh Thakur told the court that the Supreme Court’s order of 21 March 2025 was related to the transfer petitions and its impact was over as the cases were transferred from the High Court to the Supreme Court.
- He emphasized that the Supreme Court is not considering the validity of 27% OBC reservation, rather the question is whether the reservation limit can be more than 50%, as is related to matters in Chhattisgarh.
- Interim orders of the Supreme Court have allowed 58% reservation to be implemented.
